Your First Dental Visit
If your first visit with us is for a comprehensive checkup and cleaning, then you can expect it to last for about two hours. You’ll meet with one of our highly experienced dentists who will take some time to get to know you and what brings you to us. Then, they will thoroughly examine your teeth and gums, as well as any X-rays, to spot early signs of oral health problems.
This process is invaluable to your oral health. Using X-rays allows us to see underneath the surface of your teeth and gums. As a result, we can see dental issues that our eyes may miss. It is difficult to know the true extent of any dental issue without the use of X-rays. We can catch the beginnings of tooth decay, gum disease, and other issues with X-rays. Therefore, we can keep your oral health in tip-top shape.
If they spot anything, they’ll explain their findings to you along with a recommended treatment plan. Then, our dental hygienist team will thoroughly and gently provide you with the type of cleaning you need. This will leave your smile looking and feeling fresh and healthy.
For patients who have dental concerns, we will create a customized, comprehensive plan to address any issues. For example, if we find evidence of cavities, we will present you with your options. You will know exactly what to expect moving forward.
